This notice explains how NamCab processes personal data across the NamCab rider app, the NamCab Partner driver app, the Business Portal and namcab.com. It complements our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions. NamCab is the party responsible for deciding how and why your data is processed (the “controller”).
1. Categories of data we process
Identity and contact details (name, phone number, optional email, profile photo); account and device data; precise and approximate location during trips; trip, transfer, subscription and payment records; driver and provider vetting documents (licence, vehicle and registration); support, safety and dispute records; and app diagnostics.

3. Sub-processors
We use the following processors, each bound to safeguard your data and process it only on our instructions:

4. International transfers
Some sub-processors store or process data outside Namibia (for example, cloud infrastructure and mapping services in other regions). Where personal data is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to be protected to the standard set out in our Privacy Policy, including through reputable providers and encryption in transit.
5. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, safety and dispute-resolution purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and least-privilege practices. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors, not stored by NamCab.
7. Your rights
You may access and update your details in the app, withdraw consent (for example, location or marketing), and request deletion of your account and personal data. To exercise your rights or ask a data-processing question, contact privacy@namcab.com.
8. Governing law
This notice is governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia, including the constitutional right to privacy and applicable data-protection and sectoral laws as they come into force.
